The voice will sound exactly like you.
A few seconds of video is enough to copy it. Then comes the call: crying, rushed, “please don’t tell Dad.” Your mum won’t stop to doubt it. Love doesn’t. Countersign gives her one calm thing to do instead: ask.
She installs nothing. She just texts.

Not Tunde. Don’t send money. Hang up.
Add someone you love
It isn’t gullibility. It’s love, used against her.
The call is built so she acts before she thinks: a crisis, a deadline, a secret. And nobody has ever rehearsed for it.

Three small things, done before the call comes.
Ask the real person
She taps their name, or texts CHECK and a name. The real Tunde is asked on his own phone and answers in seconds. Not the voice on the line. Him.
Rehearse once, kindly
With her permission, we ring her in your voice with a practice scam that never asks for a penny. She feels the pressure once, while nothing is at stake.
Inspect any message
Paste a text or a screenshot. We tell you what it is, what gave it away and what to do next. If it’s a scam, the whole family hears about it.
Mum doesn’t have to learn anything.
No app. No password. No link to tap. If she can send a text, she can use Countersign. When someone says they’re family and asks for money, she texts CHECK and a name. That’s the whole lesson.

CHECK TUNDE
✓ Confirmed
Tunde confirmed it’s them (14:32).

Only you can lend your voice.
Only with your own recorded permission. Your parents agree to practice calls in advance. Voice samples are deleted when you stop. We never ask for bank details, and we never record the call.

Whenever proof gets copied, the post has had to invent better proof.
In 1840 a small black stamp proved a letter was genuine and paid for. Within a year, forgers were cleaning the cancellations off and using them again, so the design changed. Now it is voices being forged. The answer hasn’t changed either: proof that only the real sender can give.
A short history of proof.
Every one of these was a promise: this letter is genuine. Some were forged within a year. All of them are public domain, and all are still here.

Questions
? Isn’t copying my voice the very thing I’m afraid of?
Fair. That’s why only you can do it: with a live recording and random words that prove it’s really you. It’s used only to call someone who agreed in advance. The calls are never recorded, and you can delete your voice at any time, including at the provider.
? Does my parent need a smartphone?
No. If they can send a text, they can use Countersign. The app is optional.
? What if nobody answers when she checks?
After three minutes she’s told it isn’t confirmed, to send nothing and to call that person on their usual number. A late answer still reaches her.
? Why is the price different where I live?
Scams don’t care where you are, so protection shouldn’t depend on your income. We set First Class prices by country, and confirming it’s really them stays free everywhere.
? Can a practice call take money?
No. It never asks for real money, card numbers or passwords, and it always ends by telling her it was practice.
? Which countries does it work in?
The app works anywhere: you confirm with your fingerprint or Face ID, and get alerts on your phone. Text-only parents and practice calls start in the United States, and we’re adding countries as we can do them properly.
Two minutes now, for the call you hope never comes.
Give Mum a way to checkFree to start. Two minutes. She never has to install anything.
